About the Author

Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, I was raised by my grandmother.  I graduated from Tougaloo College in 1986 and moved to Ohio where I completed my graduate studies at Bowling Green State University in 1988.  I have bachelor’s degrees in History and in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration.  Throughout my professional career, I have worked in the public sector at either the state or local government level.  Since the ninth grade, I knew that I wanted a career in public service not as a politician but as an administrator and I’ve been blessed to achieve that goal.

After completing graduate school, I worked at a university-based public service organization providing technical and management assistance to local governments in northwest Ohio.  During that time, I wrote or assisted in the writing of several technical reports that we published internally and made available to local governments throughout Ohio.

The Foreseeable Future is my first formal attempt at writing a fictional story.  I enjoyed preparing manuscript because it allowed me to merge my analytical side with creativity and imagination.  Short stories are more conducive because I can develop an outline and stay focused on the beginning and ending before contemplating my next project.  Perhaps like most writers, I think the Foreseeable Future is interesting and there are unique aspects to it that will captivate the reader.  I look forward to the next release from the Foreseeable Future Series.
